How
long will it take Jacq Design to finish my web site?
It solely depends on the scope of the project. Our rough
timeline is 3-5 weeks for a basic HTML web site under 12
pages. 6-8 weeks for a basic e-commerce web site 10-20 weeks
for a complete e-commerce web site with an interface (admin
section) for you to manage the web site on your own.
What
items do I need to provide for Jacq Design to start my web
site design?
We would like you to fill out a form of questions for us
so we can better understand your business and your goal.
Color schemes that you might like. A list of web sites that
you like and dislike plus the reasons why. Photos of your
product or services if you already have them. Content of
the web site Logo if you have one and the 45% deposit of
the total project cost for us to get started with the design.
The first concept design will be presented to you within the
first 10 business days after we received the deposit and sign
off of the project outline.
What
web design software do you use?
We like to use the appropriate software for each job. We commonly use Dreamweaver,
Fireworks, Photoshop, Freehand and Illustrator.
What
web programming services do you provide and utilize?
We provide design consultation, information architecture,
web site graphic design, content management, CSS, XHTML
development.
We also develop web sites in a variety of languages depend
on the needs of a web site – ASP, JSP, PHP, SQL, .net.
What
do you feel about full FLASH web site?
We strive to make sure every web site we design is search
engine optimized and search engine friendly.
FLASH based web site could be cool, but it will be difficult
for end user to find them on the search engine unless major
marketing and optimization is applied. But the content is
not searchable. Unless you are in the entertainment business,
we do not recommend building a full FLASH web site. But some
FLASH animation within the site will give motion and visual
interest when used wisely.
How
many concepts will see for my web site?
During the concept design phase, Jacq will supply one (1)
design concept to build from. This is designed after extensive research of your
industry, competitor, and based on the information you provide us to ensure the
direction we are taking is the right one. From this initial concept design/layout,
you will have the opportunity to revise several times.

What
kind of graphic design services do you provide?
We provide almost any kind of graphic design service you can
think of. From logo design, stationary, brochure, annual report,
power point slides, to packaging, trade show display and billboards,
etc. There is just too many to list on here. Please give us a
call or email us what you are looking for and we will be able
to explain in more detail.
Who
owns the copyright after the project is done?
Copyright of the final design is yours upon receipt of final payment. However,
Jacq Design reserves the right to use any work for promotional purposes. The
rights of the samples we create and provide you to choose from also remain with
us.
What
graphic design software do you use?
We like to use the appropriate software for each job. We commonly use Freehand,
Photoshop, Illustrator and will be acquiring InDesign in the near future.
Who
are your designers? Where do they come from?
At the moment Jacq is the only designer on staff. Jacq's
style is what clients come to Jacq Design for, and her service
and attention to detail is what her returning client love.
Jacq is originally from Taiwan and have been living in the US for the last nine
years.

What
kind of photography services do you provide?
We provide product photography, portrait photography, marketing
photography and also stock photography.
What
is the advantage of purchasing images from Jacq Design?
We are always looking for unique items to shoot with. As a private stock photography
provider, your chance of using the same photo with your competitor is slim to
none.
Can
I order prints of your photos?
Absolutely. We use our trusted photo print vendor for the
best quality print possible. Please visit our online
photo store for prints, framed prints and stock photography needs.
After
I make my payment, will I own the image?
There are different types of photography that we provide.
Product photography that is done for your business, you own
the right to the digital files upon receipt of final payment.
However, Jacq Design reserves the right to use any photo
work for promotional purposes. The rights of the photos we
have taken and provided you to choose from also remain with
us.
Can
I resell or redistribute your images?
No. The resale and/or redistribution of our photos is strictly prohibited.

Questions
Why am I paying the 50% deposit as first time customer?
In the past years, we have experienced customers who do not pay after the service is completed and delivered, and there is no way to get a hold of the person to get the payment. Now, we collect a 50% non-refundable down payment of the agreed estimate before we start any project with a new customer. This assures us that we are working with a company that is trustworthy, and you can be sure that we will deliver the goods.
What
is the payment structure (applicable to existing customers)?
A 45% non-refundable deposit of the agreed estimate is required
before we start the project. 20% of the estimate will be
due upon the sign off of the final design. The remaining
balance will be due within 15 days after delivery of the
final design, or due upon completion of a web site project.
Why
do you need a 45% non-refundable deposit before you start?
Time is money, that is one thing we keep in mind for our clients and for ourselves.
The time and energy we dedicate to research and understand your business/industry
before the design process is how we provide you with the best service possible.
The 45% deposit is non-refundable due to the time we put in to come up with the
best design solution for your marketing needs.
What
types of payment do you accept?
We accept payment through PayPal, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, business checks, personal checks, and money orders.
What's
your refund policy?
Design is a creative process not only takes time and experience, but research
and understanding of your business/industry. We do not offer refund for graphic
design services as they are fully customized services.
